LAST DAY YAHOO

Hello! Today is our submission day!
Came school early to to some finishing touches and rendering. But a lot of problems comes up and we had to delay the presentation time to 1 something. Rendering NEVER fails to give us problems i don't know why.

I'm glad everyone laughed when viewing our work. It has never been serious film when yanping and me are together. :D it was fun though. Comedy makes people happy, thats why I love comedy a lot.

Raj's group is omg. Like lord of the rings can! Raj can do 3D animation SOOOO well! So unbelivable. It was so good really.

And i think other group did really well as well! After all, everyone suffered much together during this 2 months of hell. Rushing, filming, animating, drawing, editing, rendering. And yes its finally over!!

Last day before submission date.

Scare the shit out of me today.

I went to school this afternoon ready to finish my animation.
I scanned my sketches into the computer and trace it in flash. Everything went well, I saved and I went up to my MMfund class for presentation.

I don't know why but something crop up with my thumbdrive in mmfund lesson. Then I tried other computer and my thumbdrive couldn't open. I was like OH SHIT. My P1 files are ALL in it!! HOW HOW HOW!
But Sam's laptop manage to detect my thumbdrive. sigh of relief.
Then I went back to 3D lab after my presentation to continue with my animation. I use another computer. Was doing and doing and went i wanted to save it, error again. I tried saving it in other ppl's td and even harddisk but nothing works! I was so damn worried.
I remove the thumbdrive and use another computer the open the file, there was error again and this time big problem. My whole animation file disappear. Omg thats it man. I was going bonkers. I spent so much time infront of the com, tracing and animating and now, GONE? Wtf?

Then i went back to my working com again and try. Keep trying and trying and trying and nothing works!!! So i told myself, ok, go out, take a breather and think of other ways.
But I just couldn't help it. The thought of me putting so much effort and everything just disappear into thin air. The thought of starting everything from scratch and waste another few hours tracing it. It just scares me. Tmr submission date, tmr submission date. Everyone is finishing, i have to start over it. These wild thoughts just keep appearing in my mind, so much so that i couldn't help but start tearing.

Eventually i convinced myself that, yes, i just have to face it and start everything from the top.
jen and friends keep helping me to locate the files. Trying to save the flash file that I'm working on. But nothing helps. I was so convinced i have to start everything again. Then i suddenly have an idea. Why don't I copy every movement and drawing i have and open a new file? Yes, i tried it. I thought it will work. But no. It didn't work at all. This little hope i have gone as well.

Ronald came and helped but it didn't work as well. Until Peng comes in.

Omg, i tell you he's such a genius man.
He's one man who wouldn't give up until he finds a solution or an alternative to it. After trying so many things, he said asked me to move the stuffs in the desktop away. Because the desktop its full, maybe thats the reason. So i did. And TA DA! Everything works smoothly again! I can save my files xD
On the other hand, jen was helping me to retrieve my files on her laptop. thank you love :)
After all, its my work, so i'm really glad everyone is helping me to save my flash.
Peng is the best man. He solved so many of our problems. Thank you so much!

I resume my work after that. Using the same com, trusting that it won't give me any problems again.

And just a few hours ago I was sitting down there, tearing like some ass who just know nothing but cry. Its kind of stupid isn't, i give up trying after i tried everything i could and just hoping that time could revert back and everything is still fine.
I'm such a silly person. Why do i always get so down during the last day before submission. I'm such an idiot sometimes. If only i could be like Peng, abit calmer, abit smarter and abit positive. Everything would have went well for me.

I guess that is just what I have to learn in my life.
and it just couldn't be help and i guess very hard to change as well.
Its something in me that i couldn't be a little bit more stronger.
But i believe theres a weakness in everyone of us.
Its my work, and a group work. I don't want because of my carelessness and everyone get a lousy mark. And don't want because of me, the quality of the whole project got pulled down. Because everyone worked hard these 2 months just so that we could finish this project and get promoted.
I'm glad its over now.
I've finished my work.
We just have to compile it together and prepare for the screening tmr.

I thank everyone who had helped me during these times when i needed it.
And thanks for being patient with me and everything that ive done wrong, i apologize.

and everything i did well, thank me ok. HAHA. Just kidding.

day 15

Monday today.

Went to school ard 12 smth. Still sick as usual and  got a growth, some say ulcer, some say some pus thingy grow on my throat. Gross. 

I slept at 4am last night just to crack my brain for ideas on what to draw for credits. Finally i had an idea. And i start sketching, and i couldn't take it anymore so i went to sleep.

its just really some rough sketches. Im thinking of whether should i animate it or leave it as illustration. We don't have much time left, and i still HAVENT FINISH MY MMFUND WORK! I know p1 is more impt than mmfund. But im very worried because i don't want to retake mmfund. Like seriously don't want to. I just want to pass this module chop chop and GIVE ME MY HOLIDAYS. T.T

K anyway, went to school and continued drawing. I had my medicine and i fall aslp on the chair. Woke up at 3 going to 4pm and i was so hungry so i left for cheers and canteen and bought alot of food for myself. I'm seriously gonna gain 10kg. K, went back class, finish eating and continue drawing again. Omg, never-ending cycle. 

But while drawing, i was watching some drama online as well. :D. hey, that balanced out my stress ok. haha.left school at 7smth for dinner. and reached home ard 10 smth.

And continue drawing until now. which is 3am for god sake. I am so bloody tired, im completely drained and restless. I seriously hope this whole block end end end end end!

Ok good nights. I'm gonna start a battle tmr.

Day another another saturday

As usual, we met up on another lazy saturday whereby everyone should have slept at home, or watch tv, or out shopping. But for now our saturday is for p1. Sad life.

Went to school and i begin squeezing out brain juices for animation for ending. None came out. All i could think of is, i haven't touch my mmfund work yet.

p1 is on 19 march, mmfund is on 20 march. tell me how to not worry? Just let me get promoted and DONT FAIL ME. Thank you, and full of love. byebye. Im so sick i could just die right here.

Day 14

Today theres presentation. Nt a class presentation though. More like a consultation. So we went to school to have our video edited and me, well, keep on coming up with more ideas on what to do for animation. 

Seriously sometimes I just wish i could stop thinking about P1, stop drawing and just sleep my day away. 

Ok, just kidding.

I went for my lesson after that. I lost my voice this morning, so i can't present for my MMfund. Sam ask me to do it next week. Sian.

Yanping msg me after that saying that is our turn soon for p1 presentation, so i took my leave and went down to meet them.

Then they said ronald ask to meet at his office. So we went to borrow Shuxian's laptop (since she got premier pro) and went up to his office. ue to some problems, sx's premier cant open our file and neither ronald nor shuxian got quicktime player to play our rendered video. So we had to go down and borrow jenny's laptop instead.

Ronald gave us some comments on our video. And thankfully he said he can follow what we were trying to convey through the video. Me and yanping keep thinking and very convinced that our video is way out of topic. But whats done is done. So lets hope after editing everything will better.

Day 13

Finally my mother and aunt convinced me to go and see a doctor. I completely lost my voice today and I'm glad our presentation has been postponed. I missed my mmfund presentation though.

I'm feeling very lousy now. Cause not only I'm sick, i'm having my cramps. And I can't sleep tonight because submission is on Monday. And my Mmfund is on Wednesday. Yea, I can see hell right infront of me now. They are welcoming me.

There are just TOO many things to be done. Oh god.

Day 12

Went to school late today because I went to get my polo tee for the dip show at night. I'm the ''bouncer'' :)
Then I went straight for my Mmfund lesson while Yanping continue to do editing.
Came back down after lesson and went for Dip show.

I'm sick like a sick cow. I'm practically floating around now.

Day 11

Hello. Its a Monday today. And we are not in school xD

I slept till afternoon with such nice weather. 

We did not go to school but we stayed at home o do our work. :)

I did my animation for the credits as usual. I don't know why but I never seems to be able to finish it.

Erasing, drawing, coloring. Over and over again. My back begins to hurt so badly. My eyes were closing. But for the sake of P1! I ENDURE!  T.T 

Seriously,  faster end and let me have my holidays. :)

I got so many things to do but I don't know which one to start and where to start. And I'm having a fever plus many other free gifts such as runny nose like a tap water. How great.

Day another Saturday

Came back school to finish the filming.

Damn reluctant to get out of bed actually. I mean, its a Saturday! hello~ 

But I still dragged myself up. 

Day 10

Yp and I came to school early today, around 11am, to do our work.
She brought home Sh's lappy cause there is Premier Pro inside. But apparently it doesn't work so had to come to school and do.
Reached 2D lab and I used the laptop to do my flash.
After that Shuxian and a few others came to do their work as well.

Last minute office called and said theres a urgent meeting with Moses. Many couldn't make it because they already had plans, and I got an appointment to go to. So I had to miss it as well.

We moved over to the 3D lab, finally it is open for use.
I continued to do my flash. Coke spilled on me x( Cleaned up. And continue with my flash.

I'm still at the first scene for my animation. A lot more to go.. Its a very very VERY tedious process.
But I'm trying. I'm doing my work.
No matter how little I've done so far, at least I got do.
I made an effort to make sure it looks clean and smooth. Make sure everything move naturally. It is not easy but I am doing it and I will finish up. 

I know this is what I will do in the future. I don't look forward, but i will accept it. Because its what I choose to do.

Day 9

Came to school around 1PM today. Shao Hui brought his laptop with him so we went to 2D lab, found a place and do our work. His lappy couldn't detect the hard disk so we used school's computer instead.
I used his laptop to do the animation.

The previously edit one, there's some problem with the audio files. So we got to re-edit again.
I spent quite some time doing the flash and I had to go off at 2.30pm for lesson. So they stayed and continue to edit.

Came back around 5.30pm and we went home.

Day 8

Animation room was packed again. Since 3D lab is locked due to the critic going on. Anyway, it caused a lot of inconvenience for everyone. Seriously.

Because the 3D lab is locked, we ask Clinton to go home and transfer to the hard disk Sarah bought yesterday. Problems yet again. Never fail.
So yanping followed him so that he can jolly well stay at home and don't come back.

Unproductive. Animation room packed. 3D room locked. Maclab closed. The other 2 labs do not have premier pro. You can't blame us for not doing anything. We came to school every single day at 12pm. We want to keep up with our schedule and finish our work. HOWEVER, the rooms had to be lock, full of people or don't have premier pro.

Not that we got no other choices, we can go other's house and do. But what if we faces problems? Who to ask for help??
I'm very irritated by everything. Not yet done with my animation for credits part. My project one had to clash with another module. I have to cope with P1, cope with another module, and not much time left with everything.

I can't freaking wait for my p1 to end. CAN'T WAIT.
I'm going to die soon if this continues.

K, i'm going back to my lesson.

Day 7

Ok hi.

Went to school feeling very listless today. As in, VERY. Lack of sleep I guess.

Today was my scene. Supposedly the last one... But we got some scenes need to re-shoot so.. ya.
It was a very quick one because the room was empty.
Sorry, an unproductive one again. But at least we had one scene.
Editing failed again because nobody has a hard disk. And we couldn't transfer our files.

So everything ended like this.

Day 6

Ok, super unproductive day today.

We went to school decide to do some editing. So we went in 3D lab and upload our footage. Halfway through, Alan told us we have to get out of the room cause they having Final year critic in there. We begin to look for thumbdrives and stuff because our files are more than 10gb. My thumbdrive is only a pathetic 2gb :(

We don't know what to do and who else to call. If we didn't have our files. we have to stop work for 2 days. Thats too long, and we can't afford to lose 2 days. We scared we couldn't finish on time for the final presentation.
After calling so many people and the replies were the same, we decided to give up and just "rest"for 2 days.
We left the room and wendy's group were outside. Lady luck was on our side :D wendy have a 120 gb external hard disk with her. So we transferred our work in there.

But after that I left. Cause i need to go to the temple. :D

Day Saturday

Hello. I kinda forgot what did we do today.

We went to school ard 12+ today, up to the studio and start our filming process. :)

We took the scene whereby sh walk in the studio and start modelling the clay. Yanping followed him from behind.
There are a few people in the studio doing paper-making. So we can film them as well, to show our 3D art process.
Yp hide behind a machine and Sh sat down and do the clay. Because that scene suppose to fast-forward so we ask Sh to have a lot of big actions, exaggerated expressions and stuff. It was really damn hilarious! Can't stop laughing. The process was fun :D

After that we took the scene when Sh walk back down to the 2D animation room. But we stopped after that because theres alot of ppl in the room.

Then i went town with yp. xD

Day 5

Day 5 is 29 Feb. Happy leap year friends :)

We decided to go school slightly earlier to finish the filming but shao hui was late. So we went for lunch instead.

We didn't have the mood for anything, as usual.., but we managed to convince ourselves to start shooting.
We shoot the part whereby Sh walks up to lvl 5 from lvl 2. And yanping follow him up. Hence, it is spy's view camera. Then when they reached the top, we change it to main camera view.

It was 3pm by then and i had to go for lesson. So the rest finished up the stairs scene and they went off.

Hello leap year. See you again 4 years later. :D

Day 4

Hello.
We took the scene where spy suppose to enter the school. It was an easy shot but the ramp has to be cleared from people walking around so Sarah and Shao hui went to stationed themselves at the entrance and they prevent people from walking past the frame.

We took around 3 scenes because the first few failed. But the last one was the better one. So we decided to take that shot.
After that we went to the 3D animation room to take the DMfund shot.
I stand at the dustbin there and shoot clinton walk in from the door, talk to yanping, sit down and begin his work.
We also showcased our previous DMfund works through this shot..
And the funny part was, yanping suppose to comment on the works, she was saying, not bad then she wanted to say quite good but it turns out to be quite BAD. HAHAHA. Omg, we laughed like hell.

K, after the DMfund scene we went to level 2 to take our 2D art scene. Yanping as the spy had to crawl flat on the floor. And poor thing she got some minor bruises on the elbows and knee caps. Hahaha.

Day 3

Hey lo!

We are quite ahead of our scheduled time this time round. We move pretty fast and took quite a few scenes.

Today we took the scene at the design ramp whereby yanping saw clinton and she starts following him. We have quite a few takes. Some were either pan too slow or ngs. Like one scene when yanping run too fast and bang herself to the wall, which make us laughed.

Next scene is when clinton walk to the 3d animation room. With Jeremy as our guest star :D he had to talk to clinton so as to make the time longer for the camera to reach the dustbin.
after that we skipped the room scene since they forgot to bring their dm fund work... so we did the lift scene.
The year 2s helped us out in that scene. Thank you all. They were very cooperative. :D

After that we upload our footage into the computer so that we can overwrite the rest tommorow xD

Day 2

Hey lo.

We came to school at 11am today for shooting. But as usual, we drag and drag till 12 something. After that we proceed to 3D lab to charge our video cam (cause we forgot about the charging part) THENNNN we realised that there was no battery included!! We wanted to go back to the equipment store to inform the uncle but they went for break already.
So we waited for him till 1.30pm and we went down again.

He didn't believe us because we borrowed the video cam for almost a week then we realise the battery is gone. We said we didn't use the cam until today. And he said why we borrowed for so long when we didn't have to use it.
Allow me to explain.
Because we wanted to start filming already, but because of things like reshooting storyboard and stuff so we had to delay the shooting. Then initially we wanted to return the cam and borrow it again when we need it, but uncle said he will be able to extend it for us. So we said okay, but we still don't need the cam yet. But no harm extending it right?
But we did not check whether there is battery or not since we never open up before.

Still, he got us another battery :)
k, now we learnt our lesson..
ALWAYS check before stepping out from the store.

Anyhoo, shooting went well today. Just that we took abit long to do it.

We took 3 scenes today, and have already upload the 3 scenes to computer.

The shooting process was quite fun and yes, quite tiring as well. Cause we need to retake alot of times.
I think we need to retake a few shots again tomorrow because some scenes are unfocused and its quite "not-professional". After all, its our p1. :)

I'm as good as dead now. Good nights all.

Day 1

Hello. Its a new day with a new block. And I'm having both P1 and another lesson together. T.T

We have to hand in our storyboard, script and timeline today. Oh, and our journal. Which is what I'm typing now. 

I'll email the timeline to Ronald later... I forgot to put it in my thumbdrive. 

Sorry. :(

We came to school at 8.30am today. To re-shoot storyboard from the beginning. 

We planned out the angles and the actions first before shooting. We got all our locations and props set so we got an idea of how and where to shoot it.

So everything went pretty well and we finished our photoshoot around 1.30pm or 2pm.

We came up to the lab to modify our script as well as to upload our photos to the computer and do up our storyboard. Cause we suppose to add in descriptions to our storyboard, not just photos alone.

We are gonna start filming hopefully by tomorrow xD

Day 16

Hey.

I know this blog is for our Project One. But for the whole of today, we had been rushing to finish our final assignment for DH and C. I visit Xorex for 3 times already and the queue was omg damn long. Everyone is rushing to complete their final work. It happens everytime during the last week of the block. The printing shop will be damn packed.

So why am I saying this? Because in order to finish DH and C, we didn't have the time to do P1. I'm so sorry all lecturers. This kind of thing is unavoidable but we promise we will do our work.

I'm having a headache now. :(

HAHA. OKAYYYYY. So there wasn't any lesson today. I think too much. My bad my bad! HAHA. Omg, so dumb of me!

Day 15

And its today!

We went to school for presentation. We presented our storyboard, script as well as our production timeline to Ronald today. For a moment we thought our idea won't be accepted, but whew, it was okay.

Howeverrrrrrr, we have to reshoot ALL our photos for our storyboard because Ronald said our storyboard must be as close as what we are gonna film. And he said we must be dependent on our storyboard. So yeaaa...

I think using photos for storyboarding is better. Because it conveys the story better compared to drawing. And we have Sarah! who owns a DSLR! So we got all our photos at a high quality xD

Ronald said we have to hand in our storyboard and script by Monday. As well as our production timeline, which have to be emailed to him.

After so much postponing, and delaying. I guessed we have to reschedule all our timeline again and squeeze all the video editing in one of the week in order to meet up with the deadline. Seriously, i think editing takes up a lot of time. So we should plan properly.

And omg, the animation for credits. I totally don't have the mood for it.
K, i'm just saying.
I will find THE mood to do it anyway.

We are shooting storyboard tomorrow! Good nights.
i'm gonna rush my Design History and Culture now. Submission tomorrow. T.T

Day 14

Forgot to bring my testimonial for the profile. I think Yanping got a bit pissed, so very sorry about it. Was too tired the day before although you did remind me. But i still can't remember. My brain shut down already.

Anyhoo, we went to Mac Lab again to take photos for our profile. And that means... PHOTOBOOTH YO!!! Hahahaha. Well you guessed it, I took uncountable number of photos and of cause 2 for the profile that was needed.

I edited my photos and change the background to one solid colour. The rest did the same as well. After that we transferred to the com yanping was using since she's doing the profile.
We put in the photos and they typed their testimonial in.

After awhile, i fell asleep. And I can't believe i slept for almost 2 hours. I thought i just slept for 15 minutes or so. But they said i slept for very long already.
See, i said i'm very tired.

So much to do, so little time. :(

I know i know, time management. I'm just saying that there isn't enough time for me to manage my time. HAHAH.
ok whatever.

Day 13

Presentation was postponed again to Thursday. Great.

We proceed up to the Mac Lab to do our profile thingy. One of the props needed for our video. Anyway we were around 2 days late according to our own schedule cause we suppose to start filming on Monday. But you see, many things crop up such as our props (clay) were broken, we have to redo. Hence, taking up more time and so on.

We took a lot of photos using Photobooth. Oh man, don't i just love photobooth!? Probably the best application a computer have ever had to entertain ME! Haha. I can laugh all day just by taking all those crazy photos.

Ok anyway, the profile template were all made nicely already. And all we have to do is to add in photos and a few paragraphs of text below. And we are done. :)

Day 12

Ok day 12.

We met later since there wasn't any lesson on that day.
We manage to complete our storyboard today, like finally. Everyone was so tired from P1 already. I'm practically dead. I'll sleep whenever i have the chance to.

Then we went to classroom and I finished typing the draft of our script since there's presentation the next day. After that we went off.

Nothing much today. Another super tiring day for all of us.
I know it looks as if we didn't do anything, but we did alot i swear.

Ok next day.

Day 11

Ok, so sorry I totally forgot about the existence of this blog.
But hey I'm back.

So Day 11..
We thought there was no lesson on that day. Cause normally there is none on Fridays. I didn't bother to check our schedule and my group was supposed to meet at 1 in school. But Sarah message us and said there was class today and theres suppose to be a storyboard presentation going on.
We were stunned.
But after awhile, sarah message us again saying that its cancelled and change to Tuesday. Whew.

Reached school and we went over to 3D animation lab to continue with our storyboarding.
we managed to finish our photoshoot for that location and we went for our DH and C class. After class we went up to studio to do our clay models again. Cause the ones we made previously were broken into pieces due to some accidents.

Wrap up at 7+pm and we went off :)

Day 10

Happy Valentine's Day to all!

All I had in mind today was > faster get it over and done with and get out of the school. xD
Sooooo, we didn't do much today.
Ok, and i seriously slacked a lot today, I'm sorry.

After all the chit-chats and stuff we decided to get back to our work.
i took out our schedule and realised there's still many scenes that were not done for storyboard.
So we went to the school bookshop and get a brown file to use it as our record file. Then we went back school and up to Cad lab to start on our work.

We researched on several examples of how a record look like and finally saw one that was considered better one compared to the rest.
So we use it as a reference and created our own record using photoshop.
All went well i guess, and i think the record template we have is oh-so-cool yo. It looks like a real one.

Ok, i'm dead tired right now i'm going to bed.

Day 9

Hello. Its only day 9 of P1.
I got no mood to do anything at all, i just want holidays. :(
..
Okkk....just a thought alright.

Went in to the class slightly late because i went to meet Amanda to ask some questions. Alan took over our class today. He asked the class to list down what we know about him and what we want to know about him.
It was an interesting activity because we came up with a lot of nonsensical questions and Alan entertained it all..ok, majority of them. It was a fun exercise.
The whole main purpose of it is to tell us that this is what we can include in our P1 video. About us. He made it in such an interesting way instead of just telling us verbally. Its fun and we learnt something as well. Which is good. :)

After that we proceed up to studio to continue with our scheduled work. We were suppose to make models using clays for our 3D art part in the video.
We have to make something related to spy since thats what our video is about.
I failed terribly making a spy model.
So i break the spy into different parts.
I made a hat and a camcorder instead. Super miniature one. But better than none okay xD.
Then i made a crabmeat sushi. Yes irrelevant but, heck. Its just for the fun of it.
We even made a "toshi-ba". So cool.
And we watch Sweeney Todd while modeling. Haha.

We finished at around 4pm and we went off for lunch.

Day 8

Hi all.

We got into our discussions again today. Its basically all our time now.
We were suppose to do storyboard today. So we sort out which modules to go first. What scene to take first and all. After that we got of the class and went shooting for our storyboard.

We took the photos at the design entrance first and all the way till 3D animation room. Then we sat down again to discuss where our next shot will be. Because there are still a lot of props that we haven't prepare yet so we can't get our storyboard done by today.

We skipped some shots in between and took the easier ones that do not need any props.
And we finished our shooting around 2.30pm.

We gonna do our schedule again on thursday, oh and we will be doing our props tomorrow :)
Shooting will officially starts next monday.

Tomorrow is gonna be a long day.

Day 7

Hello, happy chinese new year everyone (:

Ronald showed us the schedule today and he said he would not be able to come in anymore cause he needs to take over Alan's animation class.

The rest of the day was our own free time.
We got into discussions again. Planning out our content and modifying some scenes for the opening and ending.
Its pretty much still the same. Except that the crime-thingy that we got initially was canceled off cause it doesn't really link to whatever we are doing.
We sort out a lot of things and everything become much clearer now.

We did our production timeline next. And gosh, there's soooooo much to do!! T.T
Storyboarding will be doing tomorrow.

There's props making as well. Shooting, editing, animating. My god. I hope we can finish everything.

P1 is so tedious. And worst still, i've got one more module next block.

Day Six

Hello its day six today. Which means our first interim presentation.

We met up "early" today to roughly run through our presentation after that I went off to look for my friend.
I went back class at 12.30pm and get settled down before the presentation starts. And we were the last group to present.

So basically, the template which is criminal record alike thing is for our introduction and was presented by sarah. I talked about our idea, which i hope Ronald understand what we are going to do. Lastly animated scenes for the credits because i remember the lecturers saying that we should never neglect the opening AND the ending.

Ronald then talked to us for awhile before we were dismissed.

Yes, my group is not very co-operative right now. Which I'm quite pissed.
maybe you are annoyed too because you might think what you done were right. If thats what you think, then so be it.

Day Five

Ronald didn't come to school on monday. So erm, Alphie came over to talked to us.
He briefed us on a lot of stuffs that were previously not clear to us and made us improve a lot on our ideas.

We went over to his class as ''visitors'' later on to consult him on our idea. And yes, thanks again we improved on it even more and i hope everything works out well.

Seriously, there's nothing much going on that day. Just discussions and consultations. And then thats that.
We were dismissed.

Day Four

I feel like sleeping now. But I shall finish this entry anyway.

Its day four of our P1 today...ok, yesterday since its 12+am already.
Ronald was on leave so Alan took over him. But before that we have a combined lesson with Wahidah's class.
She showed us 'Capturing the Friedmans' and 'Bowling of Columbine' during lesson. And explained some of the style used for these videos.
I was so tired. But I did listen, i just nearly doze off. x) I'm more interested in what the stories were about actually.
But for now, the style of filming is so much more important.

After that we went back to our own class and get into our own groups for discussions.

Our initial idea was to concentrate on Fun. Howeverrrrrr, we were totally on the wrong track! Alan told us that the interview at the front was not needed because the target audiences are MOI freshies. Not to ALL freshies. So we have to assume that they already know what course they are going to enter and what it is about already.
We cancelled off the theme, fun and start all over again.

So our new style is actually to use 'crime like style'. I don't really know how to explain it here. But anyway, i think we are back on the right track already. We had discussed everything, from intro all the way to the ending. Was fruitful i think.

I'm starting to feel the pressure alr. Its very tedious and tiring. So everyone has to be cooperative if not it will be really troublesome.

I hope everything goes as planned.

Day Three

Hello.
Its day three of our P1.

Yan Ping and I reached school late today and enter the lecture halfway while Alfie was talking. So we just sat down at the corner seats. haha. Sorry!

So today its a combined lecture.
Alfie showed us some videos and talked to us about the style of filming. Like theres this video about the Mallory and Irvine Expedition at Mount Everest.
The shooting style is like Cloverfield's. ( well, i thought cloverfield was not bad because i thought it was quite exciting. Okkk, my point of view la. xD ) and Alfie said this kind of style is not good because the lightings and stuff is really bad and it makes the people look bad as well.
Like, who don't want to look good infront of the camera right?
Yea, so thats what he said. So that kind of style is not approved.
But the introduction using that style was ok, quite cool actually.
But not for the entire video.

And then he showed us Gangs of New York where the style is much better and it makes people looked good as well. And emphasizing on the importance of backdrop.
He said who should pay attention to the set up as well because it is very important. We should make the backdrop interesting and not ignore it.

After Alfie is Ronald.
Ronald talked to us about animation. He showed us a few videos on how people used animation for the starting of the movies. Like introducing the directors, producers and other crew.
I think the intro for Hostage is really cool. Because everything is just so smooth and i think its really nice. Even the colours used were good.

Then there were videos of Shoot 'Em up, monsters inc. The intro as well as the closing were done using animation. And they were all done up really nice.

Like what Alfie has said, set up is really important. Even opening and closing, although they were all just really short ones but we must still put in efforts to it. Because opening leaves more impression on ppl. When ppl see the opening, if it is interesting, they will somehow or rather be more interested and feel that the movie will be a good one. No?

Next was Wahidah. She showed us videos on like, interviews. The fog of war, eleven lessons by errol morris.
I'm more to, action movie type. So interviews videos really bore me. But then again, its the style of the video that matters. Like how they used cutaways and old footages for the video.

After that we were dismissed.

Day Two

We had discussion today about what we are going to do for our project one.
It started off quite okay because everyone had some ideas in their mind already.

Ronald asked us to present what we have so far to the class this afternoon.

Our idea
So basically our idea is to combine both animation and video together.
We will be using animated characters to represent each individual schools (business, science, it and engine) and have an actor to represent design school. (since the main focus is design school)

After that the actor will introduce the different courses in Temasek Design School which we will be using animation to do it.
All the courses will be represented in still images and then lastly moving images will be animated.
Because the main focus is to promote our own course which is Moving Images =).
Then we will zoom into moving images and start promoting our course and the fun we had from it.

Since our main theme is fun, because that is what will attract the new students, we will be showing all the fun side we have from all the modules we had taken. ( 2D, 3D, DMfun, AniFun, VidFun etc.) Like how we enjoyed learning all the new stuffs and how we make everything seems fun and enjoyable.

Its just a really rough idea. Haven't really plan out well yet.
The storyboard and stuff. We'll get it done soon since presentation is like, next tuesday.
But our conclusion is that Moving Images make things come alive. (:
something like that. haha.

Ok, then class ended after we finished our discussions.

Day One

Hello.

I never knew school was so "in" that they even used blogspot to keep track of our production. (: Its a good thing though, 'cause we can save up the printing money.

So anyway, today is our Moi P1 briefing. I know that we have to do a video about the journey we had the past few months in Moi and what each of our talents are. I'm seriously not really good at filming, but my teammates will know, they are cool xD hahahah. I'll will do my part as well okay. xD

I can't believe the first presentation is just next week. Thats so fast yo. We better start thinking on what we are suppose to do. We have one month to finish everything.

Thats about it I guess. First day is just briefing on what we are gonna do.
